Mozambique

Mozambique has a reality of high levels of poverty and disease. Faced with the population’s needs, the Work of Mary develops social activities and evangelization which aims to empower young people to the exercise of citizenship and the experience of faith.
One example of the performance of the Work of Mary’s Boarding, Our Lady Queen of the World, one Catholic institution located in Dombe. There, it offers ethical, educational, labor, moral and religious formation, through the missionaries of Work of Mary
Community and Student Center.

Ivory Coast

The Ivory Coast is a country marked by wars and instability arising from political disputes. In this country, the Work of Mary is dedicated mainly to work with the youth, promoting
evangelization, professionalization and training of young people.

Benin

In Benin the Work of Mary Community has a growing work in achieving prayer groups, including, with the prayer groups turning young people and retreats as multipliers of these
same groups. In addition, the Work of Mary is attentive to people’s needs performing for example, evangelization activities in hospitals.

Cape Verde

In Cape Verde, the Community performs a focused work primarily for young people, with sports and cultural activities, communication programs and retreats. It also develops
evangelization work in the streets and in prisons, as well as activities directed to the prayer groups of Work of Mary, reaching thousands of families.

Angola

The war in Angola has devastated the infrastructure, the economy and religious institutions. As a result of the conflict, the Angolan population, which is predominantly young, has a high rate of unemployment and involvement with drugs. Given the need for Angola, the Work of Mary carries out social activities and evangelization predominantly geared towards young people.
